Fruit smoothies nowadays are a hit. They say that you can get good nourishment by taking a glass of it every day.  It can also be a perfect partner to weight loss, a great detoxifier and can help improve your digestion.

It’s no sweat to prepare a drink or two. All you need to have is a blender, non-fat milk, light yogurt, your favorite fruit and a veggie of your choice. Here’s how:

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

1 large banana, peeled and cut into small pieces

Strawberries, rip the green top off

1 cup of non-fat fresh milk

½ cup of light yogurt

1 small carrot, peeled and chopped in smaller pieces

Easy steps:

  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender: banana, strawberries, milk, yogurt and veggie.
  2. Blender away for 3 minutes.
  3. Pour in a glass or Mason jar and stuck in the fridge or simply enjoy!

*You can let your kids enjoy this, too. Add some greens (eg. broccoli, spinach etc.) in their smoothie and for sure they wouldn’t notice it because of its creamy texture.
