It’s difficult to explain but let’s just say the feeling is just mutual and that every moment we share is always special that has a ‘snicker’ at the end.
A best friend is well defined as someone with whom one shares the strongest possible kind of friendship. Someone who will support you no matter what and won’t judge you for who you are. Someone who won’t put you down and who laughs with you when you do but come to think of it, it’s still hard to pinpoint what makes a best friend and how can you say that the one that you have can be considered such.
I had recently met someone whom I did not even consider to be close to me. It’s funny because she was my student…well, my former student now. I had no idea how everything started but originally her daughter was my student. I know there were instances that she’s also listening during the one-on-one class but that’s all about it.
Then, one afternoon she took one of my classes. I was a little embarrassed and a little pressured at the same time because she was my student’s mother. During the class, she was okay and was just formal. She was a little shy and quiet the way I expected it because again she’s my student’s mother. After a week, she started taking classes with me seriously and I have discovered her strengths, weaknesses and her stories likewise.
We ended up adding each other using a communication app and talking constantly about nonsense things, bullying each other, laughing at each other’s faults and crying together like real sisters. I even added her in my little note of BFF list because I only had a few locked in my heart.
Everything was beautifully unplanned and probably both of us are in a euphoric sense of freedom like little girls playing with our teddy bears and Barbie dolls. It’s difficult to explain but let’s just say the feeling is just mutual and that every moment we share is always special that has a ‘snicker’ at the end.
