A few days ago, a powerful earthquake of magnitude of almost 7.9 hit Nepal, killing over a thousand or more people. Some were left homeless without possession while others were hungry, tired, devastated and traumatized. Their lives and dreams were shattered like broken glasses and as it may seem, things will never be the same again.
Reports have shown massive destruction and the cry for help was augmented. Images of lifeless people in rubble were heart-breaking and unbearable. No one can deny that this is not a simple tragedy that will heal wounded hearts over night. It may take several years, even forever for some.
As an average person from a distant place, I cannot offer a material thing or two but a simple prayer. I pray that somehow they would find comfort after this tragedy. May the soul of their loved ones be at peace and may they find courage and strength to move forward and live.
Someday things will get better and everything will be alright. For “he is not valiant that dares die, but he that boldly bears calamity”.
